A series of fortunate events led Top Agent Gisella Carbone into pursuing a successful career in real estate. She gained her rst experience in the business as a property manager for a prom­ inent local owner/builder. “I was fortunate to fall into that position and was able to learn a lot,” she recalls. When the company was in the process of selling those properties, they encouraged Gisella to get her real estate license if she wanted to continue managing. She did, but then fate stepped in. “Once I earned my license in 2003, my sister had the idea that we should open our own company, so we did,” she says. “We initially started with a small boutique brokerage.”After spending time in her own brokerage and as an agent for Coldwell Banker, Gisella is now part of the The Dream Home Specialists Team at Simply Vegas. She serves Las Vegas and Henderson, with a special focus on Summerlin. “I work with a lot of luxury prop­ erties, and also have a strong repeat and referral business, which allows me to continue working with clients in all price ranges,” she says. “I never turn down an opportunity to help a referral client.” Honesty, integrity and a commitment to exceeding her clients’ expectations are the cornerstones of Gisella’s business. “I always want to deliver a higher level of service than my clients are expecting,” she says. “I think that’s why I have gained so much repeat and referral business.” Above all, she recognizes that real estate is, at its heart, a business about people. “I’m helping clients with one of the biggest investments they will ever make,” she observes. “I think it’s important to take the time to get to know my clients on a personal level and get to know what’s important to them and their families. Most of my clients end up becoming my good friends.” But above all, it’s her honesty and candor that Gisella’s clients seem to appreciate and remember the most. “I can’t tell you how many times I hear, ‘Thank you so much for being honest with us,’” she says. ‘Sometimes a house isn’t right for someone and instead of saying, ‘Yes, let’s go for it’, I will be veryhonestandtellthemIdon’tthinkit’stheright t. I always try to keep the lines of communication open.” Gisella’s professionalism and commitment to her clients has her earned her widespread recognition. During her time with Coldwell Banker, she was routinely a Listing Leader and Sales Leader. She also received the President’s Elite and Sterling Society Awards, as well as being named part of a Top Ten Team. It’s clear that Gisella enjoys many different aspects of her career in real estate, but there are a few things she considers the most enjoyable. “I think the most rewarding part is getting to meet so many people and becoming friends with them,” she says. “It’s really such a people business and I love being around different people. I also love that every day in real estate is different. Even if I’m working with a repeat client it’s a different house and new set of circumstances.” Gisella also appreciates the learning opportunities real estate provides. “There have been so many changes with rules, regulations and technology, it just keeps me on my toes!” Looking to the future of her business, Gisella sees nothing but opportunity. “This is my chosen career and I plan to be in it for a long time,” she says. “The nice thing about real estate is that you can never burn out because it never gets old. I want to be doing this for many years to come!”
